Our roots go back to the 1800's, when we rented horses and buggies to people arriving from New York City on the Long Island Rail Road to visit the country side. The company's workers acted as carpenters, electricians and horse transporters for those who came to live in the area. The company was incorporated in 1914.
It wasn't long before the company realized that the equipment it used to haul lumber, tools and other items could be used to move a family's household goods, and thus one of the first moving companies on Long Island -- and in the entire nation -- was born.
Today, Walton P. Davis operates its own modern fleet with workers who are trained and fully qualified as professional packers, loaders and movers.
